Restorative Sleep Lesson 1

Restorative Sleep · Companion Guide
Sleep starts
in the day
The big idea here is that good sleep is built during your day, not at bedtime. Browse the daytime menu below, try whatever calls to you, and leave the rest.
The reframe
Your sleep is built
during your day.
Most of us reach for melatonin because it’s the sleep hormone. But here’s what gets left out: melatonin is made from serotonin. Your body produces serotonin during the day, and the pineal gland converts it to melatonin in the evening.

So if your days aren’t supporting healthy serotonin, your nights won’t have what they need. By the time your head hits the pillow, the most important part of the story has already been written.

The empowering part: you’re not at the mercy of a supplement. You have far more influence over your sleep than you’ve been led to believe.
