- Medium-weight and medium absorption rate.
- Main fatty acids: oleic (62.43 – 76.34%) and linoleic (13.97 – 29.55%).
- Often used to soothe very dry skin and hair strands.
- Non-comedogenic and suitable for dry and mature skin.
5. Meadowfoam Oil
- Slightly viscous consistency with and absorbs easily.
- Main fatty acids: eicosenoic acid (60%).
- Balances sebum production thanks to its eicosenoic acid content (this fatty acid is also a major component of natural seubm).
- Non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types.
6. Apricot Kernel
- Lightweight and fast-absorbing.
- Main fatty acids: oleic (70%) and linoleic (22%).
- Resembles natural sebum (source).
- Non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types.
7. Safflower Oil
- Has an almost imperceptible aroma.
- Main fatty acids: linoleic (55.1 – 77%) and
- Contains vitamin E in three forms: alpha-tocopherols (the most abundant), beta-tocopherol and gamma-tocopherol (source).
